Water sports can be fun for everyone, regardless of your age. Not many people have the courage to practice them. However, in the last months more and more people have become aware of some new, or fairly new, water sports. Here are three activities that you have to try; it will be an experience that you will remember.

  • Discing. If you are a rookie and you need something less intense, you can try discing. All you have to do is stand on a wooden disc while you are being towed by a boat. As easy as it sounds, you still need to have great balance and strength in your arms for this, so take it slowly until you are sure that you can handle it. You can start by kneeling of the board first so you get a good feel for the way the board moves when shifting your weight one way or another. Remember when you finally stand on the board, the action is more pronounced and can throw you off-balance very easily and quickly – you may find yourself in the drink!
  • Skurfing.  A surf-board is used which is towed by a boat at high speed. This will give you a good dose of adrenaline and you will be addicted to this after the first try. Since this sport has no professional athletes, you don’t have to worry about following any rules; just have fun and enjoy the ride!
  • Tubing. This is something that you can do with your family and it is unlikely anyone will get hurt. It requires no preparation or strength. You stand on a large rubber tube that is attached to a speed boat. The goal? To hold on to your tube as long as possible. This can be a tricky thing to do, since the boat is moving at high speed and taking dangerous turns. Remember to always wear a lifejacket as you will not always stay onboard the tube!
